1965 FENDER JAZZ BASS Olympic White, OHC code BA93
Early 1965 Fender Jazz Bass in excellent condition, Olympic
White finish with a matching headstock. It has a Tortoiseshell guard and a
Rosewood fretboard. This bass is all original and complete including the case
and comes with the cable jack plug and guitar strap of the last and only owner.
This bass is a fantastic player with a great very low action, neck is perfect,
fantastic tone and very clean frets. There's a very little wear to the finish
around the edges, particularly on the lower bout. in the finish but nothing
major, all body with a soft checking in the finish. All hardware and electronics
are in good working order. The frets are in great shape with virtually no wear.
The trussrode working well. The neck is stamped JAN 65 A. The pots all date of
1965, original pickups without visible date.
Plastics are in good shape with little or no shrinkage to the
original nitrate celluloid
guard. Electronically everything is correct and all solder joints look
untouched. Sonically this bass is fantastic. The neck pickup has so much body
never gets too muddy whilst the bridge cuts through with that all important JB
growl. Together the tone takes on a little more of a scooped feel that brings
out a more mellow side to the bass. Comes in Original Fender no logo case.
