They are a Dreadnought, with 15 3/4 inch lower bout, 25 1/2 inch scale, built with AAA Grade Spruce solid Spruce top, solid RW back and sides and Mahogany neck, with an Ebony fretboard and bridge.
This was the top of the line model at this time, Gorgeous inlays and deluxe binding everywhere. Gold hardware. Very nice figured Indian RW that looks more like Braz. RW in color and contrast . Overall excellent condition. No cracks or repair in the wood. Sound-wise, this is a very loud and nice sounding acoustic. It has tons of bass, and the treble cuts through the mix just right. Just the perfect RW dreadnaught tone.Playability is excellent set up with low action, and there is plenty of saddle left if you want to lower it downIncludes the original Guild hardshell case.Guild's series of dreadnoughts have shared the stage with legendary artists like Johnny Cash to a newer generations like Gillian Welch and Ryan Adams. Guild introduced its flagship dreadnought, the D-55, in 1968. Guild D55 is contructed of all solid wood. The top is built with AAA Grade Spruce and the back and sides feature Indian RW.
